Once over 50 years ago I lived in Kyoto for two years. It was a great experience. For a long time I have dreamed of returning for a lengthy stay and next year I finally will. I began studying Japanese on my own a couple of years ago. I am trying hard to reach a solid early-intermediate level before I leave.
